Excerpt ~ Chapter 2 - Paragraph 2

I peered through the bushes at Lucifer who was talking to a few friends and smiled. I knew she'd be the one I'd lose myself to. How I'd seduce them I just didn't know. I admired her short brown hair, her beautiful eyes glistening in the English sunlight and couldn't hold back any longer. "LUCY!" I shouted and she looked round. My stomach sank and I ducked down. What was I doing? I knew I couldn't get with her even if I tried. I looked back up to see her looking around puzzled before continuing to talk to her friends, laughing and smiling. Ugh, I felt like an idiot. I wanted her so badly, and couldn't wait to be with her but my own confidence was lacking. I climbed through the bushes to try and get closer; my hair getting caught on a branch. I yelled out in pain and Lucifer and her friends looked round. "Oh shit, they heard me." I tried to hide my face but before I knew it, Lucifer was by my side, gently pulling my hair free while holding me by the arm. I glanced up at her and she smiled at me. "L-Lu-..." I tried to speak, my eyes fixated on hers. "Shhh, Riley, it's fine." She spoke with a calm voice, before leaning in and kissing me on the cheek. I felt a strange feeling course through my body at her touch, making my body go limp as she lifted me from the bush, pulling me into a hug. I turned red....
